Konnichiwa and nice to meet you!
I’m Dom, and I grew up in Switzerland before moving to Japan about a year ago. So, what brought me to the Land of the Rising Sun?Firstly, I’ve had a fascination with this country since childhood, and it has intensified over the past few years. I extensively studied Japan, delving into various books, and, if you were to ask my friends, I was probably almost annoyingly obsessed with it. I always knew that, sooner or later, I had to visit this country that frequently appeared in my dreams. After starting to train in Aikido, a Japanese martial art, I decided to participate in a special intensive program in Kyoto. This program aims to help me become a teacher in the future and perhaps open my own Dojo. The fact that you’re visiting my website indicates your interest in learning more about Kyoto, its rich culture, history, and possibly more. That’s perfect because we share the same enthusiasm! I fell in love with Kyoto, and my goal is to share this love and get you as excited about the city as I am!
